Frankfurt Airport - Nicht mehr lange nach Boston🇺🇸

Hello, it's me again.
At the moment we are sitting at the airport in Frankfurt. And right know everybody is playing with their phones (including me😂😂).
We have to wait for the flight.
And we passed our first test with success!😉 (by the way the first test was to run as quickly as we can to our gate).

At the moment we are sitting at the airport and we are waiting for boarding.
Are we excited? Maybe?😂 To be honest, we are a little bit tired. But who cares!

Auf der Suche nach unentdeckten Talenten

Wie vielfältig unsere Vorbereitung ist mag folgendes Bild zeigen. Es gibt eigentlich kaum ein Fach, in dem wir uns nicht in den letzten Tagen und Wochen mit dem bevorstehenden Sprachaustausch auseinander gesetzt haben. Und eigentlich ist unser großes Abenteuer ja nicht nur ein Sprachaustausch mit dem Ziel, unsere Englischkenntnisse zu verbessern, sondern wir lernen auch in Geographie, Geschichte, Biologie, Informatik... bis hin zur Musik!

"Wanderlust"?

Eines meines absoluten englischen Lieblingswörter!
Das klingt für jemamden der Deutsch spricht schon etwas seltsam, denn das Wort "Fernweh" stimmt doch irgendwie nicht ganz mit "Wanderlust" überein, oder? Das liegt vielleicht daran, dass dieses Wort stark durch die Romantik geprägt wurde und "den inneren Antrieb beschreibt, sich zu Fuß die Natur und die Welt fern der Heimat zu erschließen". (Wikipedia) Egal ob Fernweh oder Wanderlust - ist man erst einmal von diesem "Virus" befallen, ist eine Heilung praktisch nicht mehr möglich! Wunderbar!

Erstens kommt es anders,...

...und zweitens als man denkt.
Die intensiven letzten Tage vor der Abreise habe ich mir auch etwas anders vorgestellt. Nach drei Tagen mit Fieber im Bett bin ich aber heute aufgrund des massiven Dopingprogrammes meines Hausarztes vorsichtig optimistisch, dass sich doch noch alles bis Samstag zu unserem Abflug rechtzeitig ausgeht! Denn am Ende wird ja bekanntlich immer alles gut. Und wenn es nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht das Ende! :)
